The Milken Institute has compiled their list of the Best-Performing Cities for 2012. They look at regions and base them on creation and sustainability of jobs as well as economic growth. But where does Rochester fall on this year’s list? In 2011 we placed 71st on the list of 200 regions and this year we climbed 17 spots all the way to 54th. An achievement that speaks for how well the area has been doing and many industries see it reflected in their numbers. There were other areas on the list as well; Buffalo at 72nd, Syracuse at 87th, and Albany at 69th.
